Bio

Hannah Karena Jones holds dual bachelor’s degrees in creative writing and history from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and a certificate in publishing from New York University. Her writing has appeared or is forthcoming in The National Gardener, GreenPrints: Gardening Stories from the Heart, The Susquehanna Review, Weave magazine, and Inside Pennsylvania, among other publications, and her pictorial history book, Byberry State Hospital, was published by Arcadia Publishing in 2013.

Outside of writing, she is a senior managing editor at St. Martin’s Publishing Group and spends most of her free time cooking, pickling, hiking, gardening, and keeping her 40+ houseplants alive. She’s a member of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.

She lives near Philadelphia.
